Foundations of Health
Course Information
This course is for anyone with an interest in health and well being and would be an excellent introduction to the principles of homeopathy for anyone considering homeopathy as a career. Similarly it could be of interest to complementary therapists who would like to broaden their knowledge base / have a forum to discuss health and related issues.
The course offers a safe and lively space to explore and debate a wide variety of health issues. Humour is encouraged!
We will look at health from various perspectives and will address mental, physical, emotional factors which influence our health and well being.
There are five themes to the course:
· Work And Relationships
· Our Need For Oxygen
· Keeping Healthy- Inside And Out
· Waste Disposal
· Hormones In Havoc?
Within each theme we will discuss normal function, disorders and common medical investigations.
Health care will also be considered, looking at how individuals can get the most out of the health service. There will be introductory sessions to complementary therapies including acupuncture; aromatherapy; homeopathy; massage; reflexology; relaxation and visualisation.
The emphasis is on self care and taking responsibility for our own well being. To this end we will look at a selection of homeopathic remedies that can be safely self prescribed to treat minor disorders.
There is an emphasis on understanding mind body links and we will promote positive strategies for changing life limiting patterns and habits. This will include goal setting and action planning.

Everyone is welcome. No formal qualifications required.
Course will take place in Autumn 2007, the dates are still to be finalised
