Life experience
We value life experience as much as the academic achievement of applicants. Because we believe that as a practitioner your most useful asset is your own personality we seek evidence of a high level of maturity of outlook. We expect students to have a sense of the complexity of human affairs especially in the area of health and disease and the potential to develop a reflective response to these uncertainties. Examples of such evidence could be employment or self-employment in responsible occupations, being or having been an active and engaged parent, or having completed a further or higher education course

English competency
Because homeopathy involves a high level of written and oral English, students who speak English as a second language should be competent users. They should have a generally effective command of English and be able to use and understand fairly complex language. Information about local English language courses is available for students who need to work on this before being accepted on to the course

An understanding of human biology
Attention is particularly drawn to the desirability of a basic grounding in human biology. A GCSE in human biology would be a useful way of acquiring such a grounding. Prospective students who have no formal qualifications in this subject will be given advice on background reading.

Having been a homeopathic patient
The experience of having been a homeopathic patient is invaluable to your understanding of the therapy and while it is not a formal requirement that you seek treatment we would find it hard to understand your commitment if it was avoided as an option.

The successful applicant will:
Have a level of maturity of outlook i.e.. a sense of the complexity of human affairs.
Be capable of a reflective and flexible response to complex situations.
Have the ability to speak, write and understand English to an appropriate level.
Have some understanding of what homeopathy is.
Be ready for a life-changing and personally challenging experience.
Be able to attend college and, later clinics, regularly and understand the commitment to do so.
Have the ability to manage life, meeting deadlines etc.
Be able to pay the fees and understand commitment to do
