Hi, My name is Kim Johnston I am a qualified homeopath. I first became interested in homeopathy when my eldest daughter was 3 years old. She suffered quite badly with eczema, so I took her to see a homeopath. I was pleased with the results and fascinated by this gentle medicine that treated my daughter as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms. I took evening classes, read lots of books and practised a little on my family. I began a 4 year part time course at the Northern college of Homeopathy, in Gateshead. In summer 2007, having completed my clinical training I qualified as a MNCHM (Member of the Northern College of Homeopathic Medicine). I have three children and am also a qualified Nursery nurse, with over 20 years experience working with children. Homeopathy is a safe, gentle, medicine. It is non-addictive, has no side effects and can be given in a variety of forms. Babies, children, pregnant women, the elderly, disabled, (even animals and plants!) can all benefit from homeopathy. It is effective for anything from eczema to migraines, chickenpox to diarrhoea. Minor illnesses and injuries to very serious problems can all be treated with homeopathy.
