I was a student at Northern
College during 1988-1992, and later, as well as working as a homeopath,
I was an Education Officer for the Society of Homeopaths. These two
experiences gave me a profound respect for the professional and ethical
standards of NCHM. After I ceased to be directly involved in homeopathy
(Im now a psychotherapist, having undertaken another, even longer,
professional training), I wanted to use the skills Id gained in
a positive way for the benefit of the College. I know what its
like to be a student, changing ones direction; and I know something
of the rapidly changing situation in which colleges are working. I see
my role as a director as holding those contexts as we develop effective
strategies for the future. Alice
"I am
an artist and I live in Gateshead. i work collaboratively with groups
and individuals using printing and textiles to explore issues, to educate
and inform and to create a sense of well-being through participation
in arts workshops. I am interested in the environment, health and sustainability
of communities and I think that that approach of homeopathy can contribute
much to these aspects of our lives" Clare
'Having been
a Northern College student myself I was keen to become a Trustee .
It is a brilliant way to keep in touch with the college as well as doing
something worthwhile and rewarding.' Olwyne
