"My
journey to where I am now, in the third year at NCHM has been unfolding
since I took my children , many years ago, to a homeopath for a condition
which had defeated the GP, but which was successfully treated by her.
Many years later, in a new work setting I discovered that a colleague
was just completing a course at the Yorkshire School. We got talking about
our shared interest and a few days later she brought me a leaflet about
a Homeopathy course that was to be run for a year, one Saturday a month
in a nearby town. This was the brave venture of 3 RsHoms, one of whom
, Agnes Moodie, had graduated from NCHM, and was a wonderful experience.
When I embarked on the course I had no intention of taking things further
but by the end I was well and truly hooked ! I looked at the Society of
Homeopaths website for courses and sent for NCHM prospectus. I liked the
style in which it was written and the philosophy that underpinned the
course. It was clear to me from the day I started at college that I had
made the right decision. I felt immediately at home because it sure had
soul!"

"Without the student clinics
I'd still be trying to get sitting in hours,
I would have quite a limited view on different styles of case taking,
I would still be terrified of patients...I could go on, but all I need
say is how can we hope to practise as homeopaths without 'practising'
and observing"

"Things I love
about college:
· Group sizes small which means getting a chance to know and
work with everyone, and have time to be able to discuss and explore
things in more depth
· Sense of being part of college and included in its organization
· Being able to attend clinics right from the beginning which
is invaluable to learning about the remedies and the whole homeopathic
process. It gives the opportunity to apply the theory to "real
people",
Why I Came to College
I already worked in health but wanted to shift direction towards a truly
holistic discipline. Having used and experienced the benefits of homeopathy
myself I realized it could offer people a real chance to make changes
to their lives and their well-being. Choosing homeopathy was a big decision
but I'm so glad I made it. It has opened up a new world which isn't
just about studying a fascinating subject, but is also about beginning
to look and think about people and everything in a different way. I
love it!"

impressed by the dedication and commitment of the teaching staff and
that each weekend is challenging, supportive and fun."

"I came
to college because I was intrigued as to how those little white pills
coated in 'nothing' could make me feel so well - I wanted to know why
and I wanted to make other people well with them. College has given
me a place to both learn about homeopathy and about myself. It is a
great place to be."
